Understanding about Acc types in BPC

$

Hi All,

I have read some forums about Acc types in BPC and their effect in Sign reverse in BPC reports. But still I have confusion about this concept.

I have taken one particular INC account in R/3 which has negative balance(-200) both in PSA(-200) And BI Cube(-200).We have loaded to BPC Cube with option as CREDITPOSITIVE = Yes in transformation .I understood that Yes signifies no change in sign for INC and LEQ Acc types .But for A/c types INC,LEQ the values are showing in reverse values in reports(200) and again same R/3 value in BPC Cube(-200).

Please let me know whether my observation is correct or not.I have few doubts about sign change in BPC

1.Even though I mentioned CREDITPOSTIVE = yes,Why still report is showing reverse values for INC and LEQ Accounts

2.Why report should show reverse values for INC and LEQ

3.Since INC and LEQ accounts are showing reverse values, its difficult to validate with R/3 data when I am running reports in BPC at account level like FCTR validation at account level.

I dont have any financial knowledge. Please help me out.

Thanks&Regards,

Naresh.

Grand Valley State University welcomed Max Peer, the "Around the World Biker," on the 10th stop of his 4 year, 35,000 mile “Share the Knowledge Tour.” The crowd provided a warm welcome to Max as he arrived in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

long.jpg

Max’s message resonated with students and professors…that we need a more sustainable culture…that it’s achievable through education…and with free online textbooks and resources from the Interaction Design Foundation on topics like Design Thinking, technology can be simpler and more human-centered, leading to a better run world.

Max shared his story about his “Around the World” bike journey. His message is that education is the single most powerful way to lift people out of poverty and change lives, and Max is sharing his vision at every stop. And Max shared knowledge about free learning resources available from IDF, including textbooks, videos, and other resources on the topic of improving the design process and customer experience with technology products ranging from software, websites, mobile devices, and consumer products.

Simha Magal shared with the audience that as a member of the SAP University Alliances program, Grand Valley State University helps develop the talent needed in the SAP ecosystem. The campus is also beginning to participate in co-innovation opportunities to expand students’ experience with analytics, enterprise mobility, and SAP HANA solutions.

David Voss welcomed Max on behalf of SAP, which is sponsoring the tour. “We are incredibly excited by this amazing journey and we applaud Max’s effort to get the word out about the impact access to education can provide to a young person.” David continued “SAP shares Max’s and IDF’s passion for simplified design to provide a new digital, integrated and delightful consumer experience to our customers and their customers; as well as sustainability, co-innovation, and giving back to the community. That’s why we’re partnering to help Max get his message heard across North America.”

The Share the Knowledge Tour showcases free educational resources available from Interaction-Design Foundation (IDF) focused on making technology design simpler, more human centered, and sustainable. The tour also introduces audiences to Massive Open Online Courses available from openSAP which enable anyone to freely learn about SAP’s enterprise applications including SAP HANA, the leading platform for “Big Data” analytics and real time applications.

SAP is the leading sponsor of IDF, and SAP University Alliances is arranging for universities across North America to host stops on the Share the Knowledge Tour. The North American leg of the tour reaches the Midwest in July, Vancouver in September, SAP TechEd in October, and ends in California in November. Later legs of the tour will take Max to other regions of the world.

IDF’s Professional Association enables students to receive mentoring and share their resumes among members of the IDF community, enhancing their career opportunities. Max also introduced the audience to SAP’s Massive Open Online Courses available free through openSAP, starting with the SAP HANA Developer course.

During the event, students and professors registered for free membership in IDF.

The audience was invited to follow the “Share the Knowledge Tour” online and to continue to support Max by “liking” the videos, photos, and blog posts at the University Alliances Community and University Alliances on Facebook. And the audience was invited to learn more about Interaction Design Foundation and SAP’s Sponsorship of IDF.

BI On Demand and Webi (14.0.2)

Hi,

I am not able to display webi reports built with version 14.02 (BOBJ 4) .

I get this error message : This document requires WEBI 14.0.0.0 and can not be opened by the current webi version (12.2.2.453)

Actually it works fine with a webi created with BOB3XI that I was able to publish on BI Mobile App, because, this is the ultimate goal...

Is this a problem of versioning : BI on Demand not supporting BOBJ4 as I can read in this previous thread ?

If so, is there any workaround ?

Any help would be appreciated,

Alexandra

ICO mapping stuck

$

Hello experts.

This is a weird situation... I am not sure why the PI behaves this way.

I have PI 7.3 SP05.

I am using ICO for an interface from file to many files.

The file adapter reads a csv file (content conversion)  with many lines, however some of them are not valid (containing nothing at the First name and Last name)

It is possible that ALL of the lines will not be valid and then I don't need to create any output files.

I used the mapping enclosed in the screenshot

MM.png

When there is at least one valid line the interface works correctly as can be seen here:

test1.png

However - when there is no valid lines - meaning I should have 0 results the interface processing is stuck at the Executing request mapping part, and the message status is stuck on delivering.

test2.png

Any help will be appreciated.

P.S.

Also - at the end I need to convert the interface so it will send proxies instead of creating files... what should be done if there are no results?

Removing & Changing a Component in MM42

Dear Gurus,

does anyone knows the steps on how to remove and change a component of an article with article category Sales Set or Display?

We have some Main Article that has an inconsistency on the components UOM.

The Main Article was history shows lots of different kinds of movement done.

Example is that in Material Master Record the Components (i.e. S234001) UOM is PC but when we check inside the Main Article (i.e. MA234001), the

component (S234001) was KG. So in order to correct this, we need to remove the component (S234001) inside the Main Article (MA234001) and add it again.

Please do share your experiences.

It doesn’t have to be complicated to add value!

$

I was recently asked to submit a case study for an SAP User Group Forum.  I had to contact our SAP
Analytics Solution Architect to ask him what complex solutions we could present with a customer that nobody else has done.
After a bit of researching we realised, that yes, there are no cool new innovations at some customer sites, but by and large, the South Africa
Analytics market already has the best skills and has deployed many innovative solutions.

So, my dilemma – what to present?? the SAP HANA use case is not yet ready to be presented, BW and BOBJ integration case studies have been
done, nobody wants to hear about how to design a dashboard …and we didn’t want to open Pandora’s Box - BOBJ 4.0 landscape sizing.

So, while chatting to a customer, and hearing about what they achieved with their SAP Analytics solution, I realised – why present
something complex?  Let’s show that simple solutions that add the most value are what gives every company massive
ROI.  So, with that, we agreed to present the case study on how Energy Cybernetics, powered by SAP Analytics and other proprietary
applications, and supported by Britehouse, are helping to keep the lights on in South Africa.

CTS+ and user Guest in Windows Server

Hi Everyone

I have already configured the CTS+ from my SOLMAN to 3 CE systems. All transports are passed correctly between systems, but only when the windows GUEST user is unlocked

When the Windows GUEST user is locked, the transport send the following error:

error.jpg

I read that for security reasons the windows guest user locks in automatic, because of this, before passing an order we need to unlock first the guest user and then pass the order.

What is wrong configured? can I use the windows service user instead Guest user ?

Costing Lot size of material in Product costing

$
0
0

Hi All,

We are using Product costing to calculate the price for our in house produced materials based on master data values. Our product price is too low as well as using less cycle time to produce the material. The problem we are facing here is, while we running product costing, system doesn't calculate Activities cost (setup/machine/labor). We understood that it's because of low cycle time as well as the calculated activity cost  is very minimal ( like 0.0000345). Since, we are maintaining only 2 decimal places for currency unit. so, system didn't display with any value. If we are increase the costing lot size, then setup activity cost may be zero and both machine and labor cost will be calculate as minimal. For example, one FERT and 3 stages of HALB (HALB1, HALB2, HALB3) and ROH are used. We maintained proper BOM as well as routing. When we calculate the price for HALB1, activities cost are zero. This may be used as a component of next stage HALB2. So their price also not calculated properly, because first stage HALB1 price was not included with activity price and so on for further upper level assembly materials. If we are maintaining costing lot size, based on our input, machine and labor activity cost will be calculate but setup activity cost become zero. How we can handle this scenario ( Low cost product with less cycle timing ) in product costing?

We have 3 operations ( for an material Example, HALB1 ) which are using different work centers. Their setup time as well as lot size are totally different. In this case, how can i will give the product lot size for an material in material master for costing run?

Thanks
